The depravity of man

This past week, I have been feeling overwhelmed by the depravity of man. My own depravity, along with that of our species collectively. I am deeply saddened by its presence all around me, and within me. How does God endure the heartache?

Don't despair mon frere! "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living."
Last night, on top of feeling new hope in our nation - the hope that we may become the stewards of nature and the neighbors that God instructed us to be - I was also reading about Jonah and the Ninevites. The Ninevites were so depraved and Jonah so reluctant as to run from the face of God. But in the end God brought them back to Him. No man or Nation is beyond His reach and He has made up for all our sin and folly. It is amazing!
